Leyton Orient Trust is hoping the public vote to fund its project to help keep over 50s across east London active.

The trust is one of hundreds of charities from across the UK to submit proposals to the Aviva Community Fund for a public vote.

The projects with the most votes will be shortlisted for the final judging stage.

The trust wants to secure funding for its “On Yours Toes” scheme, which will work with adults over the age of 50 in Waltham Forest, Redbridge, Hackney and Tower Hamlets.

On Your Toes aims to help older adults stay physically and mentally active and healthier for longer by reducing loneliness and increasing regular physical activity.

The programme offers structured weekly physical and social activities including a monthly networking event at The O’s Matchroom Stadium.

To cast your vote for the On Your Toes project before the November 21 deadline, visit: avivacommunityfund.co.uk/voting/project/view/17-2306.
