Hundreds of parents in London did not take their children to the dentist last year, figures show.
A survey conducted by researchers Nuyoo revealed the London boroughs where children have the cleanest teeth.
Here are the percentage of children who saw a dentist last year, broken down by borough:
Waltham Forest - 42.12%
Barnet - 45.16%
Enfield - 47.56%
Harrow - 47.88%
Redbridge - 53.96%
Haringey - 59.33%
The research also shows that 76 per cent of parents do not trust their children to brush theit teeth.
And 45 per cent of parents neglect taking their children to the dentist because they do not have time.
Meanwhile, 43 per cent of children are encouraged to brush their teeth because they do not want to be shouted at, and nine per cent are bribed with pocket money.
And 10 per cent of parents encourage their children to brush their teeth by bribing them with the tooth fairy.
But only 21 per cent of people actually give their children money when they lose a tooth.
