A man threatened supermarket staff with a knife and a screwdriver and stole four bottles of champagne.
The man went into Tesco in Stroud Green Road, Haringey, three times between November and December.
The first time, he took six bottles of whiskey and pulled out a knife when staff tried to challenge him.
Then, around a week later, on December 3, police believe the same man went back into the shop and stole four bottles of champagne.
He then threatened staff with a screwdriver before leaving.
On December 9 at 6.15pm the man returned, but when confronted after leaving the shop without paying for a bottle of cider he assaulted a member of staff.
CCTV footage has been released and police want to identify the man in the photo.
Detective constable Russell Harvey, said: "This type of prolific and brazen behaviour cannot continue and I urge anyone with information on this man’s whereabouts to get in touch and help us prevent this from happening again."
