A child has won her battle for a new pedestrian crossing.
The 11-year-old Naomi Lindop is from De Bohun Primary School in Green Road, Enfield.
After months of distributing leaflets, a social media campaign and talking to the council, her demands for a crossing near Cat Hill Roundabout in Enfield are successful.
Enfield Council’s cabinet member for environment, Cllr Guney Dogan credited the crossing to Naomi and her school.
Cllr Dogan said: "I am glad we were able to listen to the residents’ requests and finally get them the crossing they desperately needed.
“Well done to all involved and again, thank you to Naomi for being such a proactive member of our community.”
The new crossing opened on Friday - Naomi Lindop said: "It took a long time to get here - but it was really worth it."
