More than 4,000 motorcycles from all corners of the county revved their engines at the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Motorcycle Run and Family Fun Day on Sunday (September 9).
Spectators enjoyed a day of entertainment including live music, trade stands and a range of food outlets, with around £41,000 raised through donations.
A highlight of the afternoon was a visit by the Charity’s MD902 helicopter and crew.
Jen Wall, volunteer and events lead for the air ambulance, said: “We are grateful to the biking community for supporting this event so enthusiastically, to all the people who turned out along the route and at the finish to support them.
"We would also like to thank all our volunteers and our sponsors Woodland Group and Swinton Insurance.
"As a Charity which receives no direct funding from Government, the money raised by events such as this is vital in supporting our life-saving work.
“With so many exciting things for people to enjoy, there was no shortage of things to do and the weather was kind to us too.
“Unfortunately, there was an accident following the event as a rider headed for home. Our thoughts are with the rider and we wish them all the best in their recovery.”
