THE family of a man murdered in Tottenham ten years ago feel unable to move on until his killers are brought to justice.

David Anthony Scott, of Warren Court, was found stabbed to death and stripped of his jewellery at 3.15am on August 24, 1999.

David, nicknamed Boyo, grew up in Northumberland Park and suffered from Crohns disease. He was unemployed.

He was aged 30 at the time of the attack and had been living with his girlfriend and two children aged two-and-a-half and 11.

His family are still not ready to speak about the attack.

Though arrests have been made, no one has ever been charged for the murder, prompting the Metropolitan Police to offer a £20,000 reward for information leading to his killers being captured.

Detective Inspector Steve Fraser, of the Met's Homicide and Serious Crime Command, said: "It is now ten years since David was murdered and his family still can't move on as his killer has not been caught.

"There are people out there who have information and know what happened to him. Over the past decade allegiances may have changed and we would urge those people to please come forward.

"We know potential witnesses or those with information were reluctant to contact us in 1999, but we hope they may now feel able to help.

"We will treat anything you tell us in complete confidence."

It is believed David was stabbed in an underpass beneath Monument Way, which links Fairbanks Road and High Cross.

He made his way up the steps to the main carriageway where he collapsed. His mobile phone and a heavy gold bracelet were found to be missing.

His attacker is believed to have escaped into the nearby High Cross housing estate and is described as a black male in his early 20s.

The man was spotted crouching over the body before jumping over a wall.

Others were also spotted at the scene and initially called for assistance, but then also ran away.

Police are also keen to trace the owner of a white hatchback also spotted in the area.

Anyone with information is asked to telephone the incident room on 0208 345 3865 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
