A TEENAGER who tried to rob a woman as she walked in Edmonton was tackled to the ground by two police officers.
The Police Community Support Officers, Vince Boughton and Jack Wright, were carrying out routine patrols, in Fore Street, at 2.30pm yesterday when they spotted the victim struggling with a young man.
The suspect was dragging the victim along the ground and the officers immediately went to her rescue.
He was held down until back-up arrived at the scene and he was arrrested.
The 17-year-old was arrested for attempted robbery and is currently in custody at a north London police station.
