POLICE are looking for an Enfield teenager who rowed with a Wood Green butcher shortly before he was fatally stabbed in the chest.

Detectives investigating the murder of 24-year-old Irfan Ahmad have issued a public appeal to find Ehsannullah Mohabat, who left Halal Food Direct in The Broadway, shortly after Mr Ahmad was stabbed.

Mr Mohabat, 18, is believed to have gone back to his Enfield home after the stabbing, at around 3pm on Thursday, September 29, before disappearing.

A £10,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of Mr Ahmad's killer has already been offered by police.

Mr Mohabat has links to Haringey, Redbridge, Barnet, Waltham Forest and Brent, as well as to Gloucester, Leicester and Birmingham.

Mr Ahmad, of Hanley Road, Finsbury Park, died at the butcher shop where he worked, shortly after he being seen arguing with Mohabat.

He had been stabbed through the heart.

Detective Chief Inspector Steven Lawrence, who is leading the murder hunt, said: "Mr Ahmad was killed in a busy area, in the middle of the afternoon, and we need to hear from any witnesses who have not yet come forward.

“Do you have any information about the murder or the whereabouts of Mr Mohabat? It is essential that anyone with information contacts us as soon as possible."

Mr Mohabat is 5ft 5ins tall and was last seen wearing a black hooded top with red writing on it, baggy grey trousers and black trainers.
