A £20million investment to regenerate Tottenham Hale station has been unveiled today.

The funding, which has been welcomed by Haringey Borough Council, is part of £300million to be spent by Transport for London’s to support economic growth.

Councillor Alan Strickland, cabinet member for economic development said: "With its quick connections to Stansted, Stratford and the city, Tottenham Hale is fast becoming a key area for economic growth in London, which this funding recognises.

"We have made a strong case for investment in Tottenham Hale station and I am delighted that Transport for London have responded so positively.

"We’re clear that improvements at Tottenham Hale are key to pushing forward the wider regeneration of Tottenham, driving economic and employment growth, and opening up the area to substantial investment and development.”
