Commuters are being told to keep on guard following a recent spate of evening and night-time phone snatches at train and bus stations.
Police in Haringey say they have had an increase in reports of phones being stolen in incidents in which suspects ride up and snatch people’s phones and then ride off with the device.
Since November 19 there have been 14 incidents in reported to police near train and bus stations such as Alexandra Palace, Bounds Green, Turnpike Lane, Wood Green and Seven Sisters Stations between 6pm and 9:30pm.
Police are advising people with mobile phones to be on the alert and not to check their phones as soon as they leave the station.
