A ticket office at Alexandra Palace station will close for five days while it is made suitable for hard of hearing customers.
The office will shut from Monday, January 7 to Friday, January 11 when equipment for customers using hearing aids is installed with a new intercom system.
Train operator First Capital Connect is assuring customers that ticket machines can be used and staff will on hand to provide customer assistance at the station in Wood Green.
Customer Service Director Keith Jipps said: “The new ticket office will include a refreshed frontage, a new intercom system and induction loops for people with hearing aids. It should make a real difference for passengers.
“This is part of ongoing improvement work – we will later be refurbishing the ticket hall and working with Railway Heritage to improve the windows.”
