Parents whose children study at university technical colleges feel more secure about their future, a study has found.
Those who study at institutions such as Tottenham UTC, in Northumberland Park, will get a job after their education, according to 70 per cent of parents surveyed.
A total of 85 per cent said the school was preparing their child for work, compared to just 68 per cent of parents of pupils at regular secondary schools and colleges.
Tottenham UTC said that the findings are mirrored by an internal survey amongst students and their parents.
TUTC Principal, Nick Hindmarsh, said: “Staff at Tottenham UTC work tirelessly to ensure every young person realises their potential. We pride ourselves in our ability to deliver the highest quality education within our world-class facilities.”
BDT, the charity behind UTCs, surveyed over 1000 parents with teenagers at mainstream schools and 450 parents whose children attend UTCs, including Tottenham UTC.
