Police hope a £10,000 reward and television appeal tonight will allow them to find the body of a woman killed 20 years ago.

Jane Harrison, last seen shopping in Wood Green in 1995, was killed by her boyfriend, Kevin Doherty.

Police will appear on BBC’s Crimewatch and offer the five-figure sum for information leading them to the remains of Jane, who was 32 and lived on Poet’s Road, Islington.

Doherty was convicted of her manslaughter in 2013 and sentenced to 12 years in prison.

DC Bev McInerney said: "Jane was a much-loved mother, sister and daughter. I would like to take this opportunity to appeal to anyone who knows anything about the whereabouts of Jane’s body to get in touch and tell us what you know.

"Kevin Doherty was responsible for Jane’s death, but we are convinced that he will have spoken to someone about what happened on that day and what he did with Jane’s body."

Jane was last seen on 15 June 1995 whilst out shopping with Doherty at Wood Green Shopping Centre in north London.

Doherty told detectives that he later dropped Jane off near her mother’s house in Highbury.

Police believe that he killed Jane that day and took her body to a lock up garage, before reporting her missing the next day.

Despite pleas from Jane’s family, Doherty, 60, has never revealed where her body is.

Jane’s sisters, Claire and Maxine Harrison, will also appear on Crimewatch.
