RELIGIOUS devotees will hold a peace march from Wembley to Ealing on Saturday in the wake of violence across London.
A group of Hare Krishna devotees from Bhaktivedanta Manor, based in Aldenham, Hertfordshire, will hold a parade prior to the march at Brent Council town hall, in Forty Lane, at 1pm on Saturday in Wembley.
Peace marchers will then meet at the Shree Sanatan temple, in Ealing Road, Wembley, around 5pm.
A team of about 40 Hare Krishna devotees will march with a decorated peace chariot towards Ealing High Street, hoping to reach there around 7pm.
The High Street in Ealing was subject to mobs torching buildings and cars, looting shops and breaking into homes on Monday night.
The march has been organized by Hare Krishna devotee Peter O’Grady. He said: "We will be chanting for peace, which is very important after all that has happened.
"We believe it will bring an atmosphere of peace during these difficult times.
“People have become frightened to go out and we want to try to bring something to them to encourage them in this terrible time.
“People are welcome to join us anywhere along the route."
