Baskteballers from Haringey’s Greig City Academy will represent London at the National finals in May after triumphing in the finals of the 37th Balfour Beatty London Youth Games.
Haringey beat Havering’s Redden Court 62-37 at the SCORE Centre in Leyton in the Under-14 girl’s final on March 28 and will now progress to the National finals at the University of East London on the weekend of May 10/11.
In the Under-16 girl’s event, Haringey were runners up, losing out to Barking Abbey, who qualify for the Nationals as champions after beating Greig City Academy 63-57 in a close game.
Also progressing to the Nationals final will be schools from Newham, Croydon and Barking and Dagenham.
