New Spurs head coach Mauricio Pochettino is keen to be re-united with his former Southampton captain and England international Adam Lallana, according to The Guardian.
Pochettino, who signed a five-year deal with Spurs on Monday, will look to challenge Liverpool, who have tabled a £20 million bid, for the 26-year-old.
Tottenham have long admired Lallana’s progress at Southampton which this season has seen him break into the national team.
The midfielder has scored ten goals in 42 appearances this season will be in Roy Hodgson’s team for the upcoming World Cup.
