Former Arsenal attacker Paul Merson thinks Tottenham Hotspur could secure a place in the Champions League next season by finishing in the Premier League's top four.
Spurs have not qualified for the Champions League since the 2010/11 season when they were eventually knocked out in the quarter-finals by Real Madrid.
But currently fifth in the Premier League they have only lost one game so far this season, 1-0 at Manchester United on the opening day of the season.
Predicting the top four, Merson told Sky Sports: “I know people will be surprised but I am going with Spurs to finish in third place, I’ve been impressed with them and they’ve completely changed my opinion.”
“They've got a great young squad and a very, very good manager in Mauricio Pochettino. What they did at the Emirates was phenomenal. The key is their best players need to stay fit.”
