Dean Fenton pulled one back before the hosts made it 3-1 at the end of an eventful half.
Bury Town added another goal but Rakim Richards headed in another for Haringey.
The home side scored their fifth of the match but Boro netted again with a late header from Fenton.
Haringey Boro women's team boosted their promotion hopes with a 3-0 victory at leaders Billericay Town on Sunday.

Haringey extended their lead after an unstoppable strike from Brooke Hills.
Boro rounded off the scoring with the third goal after the break as Hills struck again.
Haringey keeper Cherkish Young kept a clean sheet after making an excellent late save from a penalty.
