Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Vincent Janssen from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar for a reported £17m, subject to international clearance.
The 22-year-old was top scorer in the Eredevise last season with 27 goals in 34 appearances and has signed a contract with Spurs until 2020.
He previously enjoyed a spell at Dutch second-tier side Almere City where he found the net 32 times in 74 games.
PSG and Woflsburg were reportedly interested in the forward who won the 2016 Johan Cruyff Trophy, which is awarded to the Eredivise’s best young player.
Janssen’s fine form earned him a call-up to the Dutch national squad earlier this year and he has scored three times in five international appearances to date.
He becomes the club’s second signing of the season after the arrival of Victor Wanyama from Southampton last month.
