The Argentina FA are set to approach Mauricio Pochettino for the vacant national team job according to reports in the Tottenham bosses homeland.
Atletico Madird boss Diego Simeone and Sevilla’s Jorge Sampoli are to be spoken to by AFA chief Armando Perez in Spain.
Reports in La Nacion claim that Perez will sound out Pochettino while he is in Europe as well as speaking to Lionel Messi, who called time on his international career after the Copa America final defeat to Chile.
Pochettino, 44, signed a contract extension with Spurs in May which ties him to the club until 2022.
