Tottenham Hotspur’s Alex Pritchard is reportedly close to making an £8m move to Championship side Brighton.
The 23-year-old made three Premier League appearances for Spurs last season, all of which came as a substitute.
The midfielder spent the latter stages of last season on loan at West Brom where he made a further two top flight appearances.
Brighton boss Chris Houghton worked with Pritchard during his time as coach with the White Hart Lane club and is keen to beat a number of other clubs to his signature.
Pritchard, who has been at Tottenham since 2011, is thought to be attracting interest from QPR, who a reported to have held talks over a deal last week.
The £8m fee was believed to have been too steep for Brighton’s liking, but it is thought discussions over a potential move are progressing well.
