Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly matched Everton’s £30m bid for Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko.

Spurs looked to be out of the running for the French international, who starred at Euro 2016, after having a £16m bid turned down earlier in the day.

However, they now appear to be back in the running with the 27-year-old thought to prefer a move to White Hart Lane ahead of Merseyside.

Time is of the essence now for the White Hart Lane club and they have until 11pm to complete and submit a deal sheet to the Premier League.

That must include Sissoko’s signature and they will then have two hours to finalise the deal.
