Kyle Walker and Danny Rose can strike a deadly partnership for both Tottenham and England for many years to come, according to Hugo Lloris.

Rose capped an outstanding display with the winning goal as Spurs beat Burnley 2-1 on Sunday after Walker had earlier set up Dele Alli's equaliser.

It means the two full-backs have either scored or assisted eight of Tottenham's 29 Premier League goals this season.

They have also contributed to the team's mean defence, which has conceded only 12 times in 17 games - the second best total in the division.

Rose and Walker were Roy Hodgson's first-choice picks for England at Euro 2016 last summer and Mauricio Pochettino has put great faith in the pair this term, twice even playing three at the back to afford them greater freedom going forward.

Lloris feels the duo can be a great asset over the next few years for both club and country.

"They can be important for Tottenham and for the England national team too," Lloris said.

"They are still young. There are still some good players in front of them but if they keep working hard I would not be surprised if they had a great international career and they will help the club achieve great things as well.

"I feel they are very committed to the team. They have been in the club for a while and you can see that on the pitch. The way they play, the way they run, they can feel it.

"We play a very attacking game but they try to be as strong as possible at the back.

"They first try to be very good defenders but also to help the team score and create chances. In the last two games they were decisive for the team. It's a great feeling for them and for the team too."

Rose's decisive strike against Burnley came after an excellent break from Moussa Sissoko, who has enjoyed a resurgence in recent games following a difficult start at Tottenham Sissoko's impressive showing off the bench came after his best performance of the season against Hull and Lloris believes his French team-mate is finding his feet at White Hart Lane.

"I am very pleased for Moussa," Lloris said. "He is a great guy and it was not an easy period.

"He is showing in the last three games that he is getting better and stronger and today he helped the team make the difference with a great assist."

While Tottenham stay fifth but are now just one point behind Arsenal, Burnley are 16th and three points above the relegation zone.

The Clarets made Spurs work hard for their victory but they are still yet to win any of their eight games away from home this season.

"A lot has been made of our away form and we have been trying to improve it," Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton said.

"It hasn't happened against Tottenham but I think this was a step in the right direction.

"We put a marker of a performance down to build on. If we keep playing like that away from home then we give ourselves a great chance."
