Harry Kane has reportedly snubbed interest from Chinese side Shanghai SIPG in order to remain at Tottenham Hotspur.
SPIG are managed by former Spurts boss Andre Villas-Boas and are said to be keen on taking both Kane and Danny Rose away from White Hart Lane.
The Evening Standard reports Kane’s advisors were contacted earlier this month to test the waters surrounding a potential move.
Kane’s reluctance to trade in a title chase with Spurs for the riches on offer in the Far East ensured the discussions did not advance as far as an offer being made.
The England international, who is Tottenham’s top scorer this season with 15 goals in 21 appearances, signed a five-and-a-half year deal worth £120,000 a week in December.
This figure would be dwarfed by what he could earn in China, but Kane has instead set his sights on winning trophies under Mauricio Pochettino.
He told La Gazzetta Dello Sport: “You have to choose whether to take the money or follow your own ambitions, playing in the best league in the world and winning titles.”
