Harry Kane could be set to hand Tottenham Hotspur a timely injury boost, with reports suggesting the striker will recommence training this week.

Kane, who has 24 goals in 30 appearances this season, is scheduled to start running by the end of the week as he continues to recover from ankle ligament damage suffered in the FA Cup win over Millwall.

Spurs hope the 23-year-old will be available for selection in time for the North London derby at White Hart Lane on Sunday, April 30.

He could even return for the crunch FA Cup semi-final clash with Chelsea at Wembley a week earlier.

With Spurs still aiming to guarantee Champions League qualification, Mauricio Pochettino will be eager for Kane to return as soon as possible.

He is likely to miss trips to Burnley and Swansea as well as clashes with Watford and Bournemouth at White Hart Lane.
