Tottenham Hotspur have been informed that French-born Moroccan Lille midfielder Sofiane Boufal is available for a January transfer if they loan him back to the club for the remainder of the season.

According to the Daily Express, the potential stumbling block in the transfer is Lille’s asking £21.6 million asking price for the 22-year-old, who has scored five in 20 for the French club after his move from newly promoted Angers.

With rumours circulating that Mauricio Pochettino is looking to move Andros Townsend out on loan, Spurs are looking for a replacement and have identified a buy-to-loan deal for Boufal as a potential solution.
