Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino believes his side deserved more from their North London Derby draw with Arsenal.

The Spurs boss watched his side dominate large swathes of the match and open the scoring through Harry Kane.

But they were pegged back in the 77th minute from substitute Kieran Gibbs.

“My feeling is that deserve more, the way we played in the second half.” Said the Spurs boss.

“I am very proud of my players, the way we played and showed intensity. Six days and three games and always it is difficult.

“They did brilliant, we showed great character.”

The White Hart Lane club have now gone eleven games without defeat in the Premier League and really should have taken all three points this afternoon.

Chances went begging from messers Eriksen and Alderweireld before Arsenal found their way back into the match with a scrappy equaliser.

Pochettino believes fatigue could have played a part in the late setback.

He said: “Fatigue in the last 15 minutes might have been a factor. It is normal to feel tired.”

Looking forward, the Spurs boss said there is “no limit” to what his side can achieve.

“For all players, they need the confidence and the patience, they are very young, they need to work hard and adapt.”

Spurs will face a second consecutive London derby as they take on West Ham United after the international break.

Pochettino also held praise for Erik Lamela and said: “We have confidence in him. It takes time to adapt. A new life in a new city. A new language. Some players take longer than others.”
