Mauricio Pochettino admitted he is “frustrated” after Tottenham’s title bid was crippled by a draw with West Bromwich Albion.

Spurs are seven points behind Leicester City with three games to play, and the Foxes could win their first ever league title if they beat Manchester United on Sunday.

Pochettino said his side lost control of the fight after dominating the first half, but refused to admit the war is over just yet.

He said: “This was very frustrating, in a game we must win. First half we played very well, second half we lost control and allowed them to believe, we know if you do not kill the game it allows them to believe.

“We have three games, we know it is very difficult, but we have to still believe and still fight.

“It is very difficult, we are very disappointed, but this is always the way with football. We need to use this experience for the next few seasons.

“I think we need to kill the game if we want to win the title, but all the players should feel very proud of the season we have had.”

Pochettino also said he had not yet seen the incident involving Dele Alli, with the PFA Young Player of the Year caught on camera seemingly punching West Brom midfielder Claudio Yacob in the stomach.

He said: “I heard some comments about it but I have had no time to see it.

“Maybe the opposition players find him, and try to provoke, as they know he has a strong character.  But I have not seen it, I do not know.”

He also said they would check on Eric Dier tomorrow, with the England midfielder having to be subbed off with apparent concussion after being clattered by Hugo Lloris in the corner which led to the Baggies’ equaliser.
