Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has been shortlisted for the Fifa Men’s Coach of the Year award.

The Argentine led Spurs to a third place finish in the Premier League last term as they went close to pipping eventual champions Leicester to the title.

In doing so he took the White Hart Lane club back into the Champions League for the first time since the 2010/11 season.

He is joined on the ten man shortlist by fellow Premier League bosses Claudio Ranieri, Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola.

Ranieri will be among the top contenders to scoop the award after masterminding Leicester’s shock Premier League triumph.

Wales’ Chris Coleman also makes the list after leading Wales to the Euro 2016 semi-final at their first major tournament since 1958.

Real Madrid’s Champions league winning boss, Zinedene Zidane, Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone and Barcelona’s Luis Enrique are also included.

Didier Dechamps, whose French side finished second on home soil at Euro 2016, joins Fernando Santos in completing the nominees.

Santos, 62, made history in the summer as Portugal won their first major international honour under his stewardship at Euro 2016.

Voting for the award opens on Friday before a three man shortlist is drawn up on Tuesday, November 22.

The winner will be announced at the Best Fifa Football Awards on Monday, January 9.
