Tottenham Hotspur will have to sweat on the fitness of Vincent Janssen after the striker suffered a concussion and 20-minutes of memory loss in the Netherlands clash with Belgium.
The Spurs man lasted just 27 minutes before a collision with Red Devils’ keeper Simon Mignolet in the 1-1 friendly draw in Amsterdam ended his game.
Holland manager, Danny Blind, confirmed the severity of the blow suffered by Janssen after full-time and stressed the need for caution over dealing with a head injury.
“He cannot remember a period of 20 minutes,” Blind explained. “That’s not good, of course. With a head injury you have to be careful.”
Mignolet took to twitter to wish Janssen a speedy recovery after what he described as an accidental coming together.
Wishing @vincentjanssen well after our collision. Would never intentionally hurt a fellow player, but sometimes accidents happen. #FeelBetter

Janssen has struggled to find his form since arriving at Spurs for £18.5m in the summer transfer window and has scored three goals, all of which have come from the penalty spot, in 15 appearances.
With harry Kane fit again, Mauricio Pochettino’s options in attack have been bolstered, but the injury to Janssen will still be a concern.
