Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Manchester City midfielder James Milner, according to the Sunday People.

Milner, 28, has become increasingly frustrated at his role at the Eithad Stadium under Manuel Pellegrini and is understood to looking to leave the club.

That has alerted Spurs - among other clubs - to  the availability of the 45-cap England international, who has been included in Roy Hodgson's 23-man World Cup squad for this summer's tournament in Brazil.

The former Leeds United, Aston Villa and Newcastle United utility man featured in 31 of City's Premier League fixtures this season, but just 12 of those outings came from the start.
