Mauricio Pochettino will reportedly extend his Tottenham Hotspur contract by signing a £4.5 million extension at White Hart Lane.

The Sun report the Argentine, who has been touted as a potential target for Manchester United and Chelsea, will commit his future to Spurs by signing a new three-year deal.

Pochettino, 44, has been a revelation at White Hart Lane after succeeding Tim Sherwood in the summer of 2014.

After finishing fifth last season Spurs are now two points behind Premier League leaders Leicester City who play Newcastle United this evening.

The former Southampton boss has also given a number of Spurs' young stars their chance in the first team with Harry Kane, Ryan Mason, Eric Dier and Dele Alli thriving.
