Nabil Bentaleb’s future at Tottenham Hotspur appears to be in serious doubt after reports emerged claiming he is not a part of Mauricio Pochettino’s plans.

The 21-year-old was restricted to only five Premier League appearances last season and has not been included in the squad for the club’s pre-season tour of Australia.

The Algeria international signed a five-year contract just last summer, but now looks set for the White Hart Lane exit door.

Spurs are said to be happy for Bentaleb, who joined the North Londoners from French side USL Dunkerque in 2012, to leave on loan for the season.

While Bentaleb’s future may be in doubt, Spurs boss Pochettino looks set to stay at the club.

The Argentine moved to quell reports linking him with the vacant national team job in his homeland and ruled out the possibility of leaving his current position.
