Tottenham Hotspur have been dealt a blow with the news that Heung Min Son is to undergo surgery on his right forearm tomorrow.
The 24-year-old looked in some discomfort when he was substituted in the 35th minute against Qatar earlier this week, after landing awkwardly during South Korea’s 3-2 defeat in Doha.
Spurs have now confirmed that the attacker has sustained a fracture, after he underwent scans earlier this week, and the former Bayer Leverkusen man will undergo surgery tomorrow.
The news will come as a blow to Mauricio Pochettino as Son was influential for Spurs last season, scoring 21 goals in 42 appearances, helping them secure a second place finish in the Premier League.
