AMBITIOUS Kirsty Elvins is celebrating after qualifying as a solicitor.

The 26 year-old, who was born in Bromsgrove, attended North Bromsgrove High School and set her sights on a career in law following a two-week work placement at Thomas Horton solicitors in Bromsgrove when she was still at school.

She went on to study Law at the University of Central Lancashire before completing her Legal Practice Course (LPC) at Birmingham University and then rejoining Thomas Horton to complete her training qualification.

Specializing in property and conveyancing work, Kirsty is now a key member of Thomas Horton's property team where her clients include David Payne Homes whose Head Office is based in Bromsgrove. Kirsty handles the conveyancing work for sales of all David Payne homes across the UK.

Commenting on Kirsty's success, managing partner Matthew Horton said: "We are extremely proud of Kirsty and delighted that she will be continuing her career with us.

"Her success proves the importance of organisations like ours forging strong links with local schools to help pupils decide the direction they want to take when they leave.

"The benefits of retaining talented individuals in Bromsgrove are immense - local knowledge is very important and so Kirsty's strong links with the town will be highly beneficial to our clients."
