AFTER four games in eight days, Epping are having a ten-day break until their next Essex Olympian Lge Senior Div One fixture.
Manager Neil Whitbread said: "I don't like to criticise anyone at the league or the people drawing up the fixture lists, but it does seem a bit farcical."
Tiredness proved costly in Epping's game at Takeley last Thursday.
The visitors crashed 2-1 despite taking an early lead through Adam Connolly.
Charlie Pollard scored for Takeley just before half-time.
Chris Bailey and Matt Clarke had good chances for Epping in the second half but another goal for the hosts, by Flynn Cumming, secured the points.
Whitbread said: "I think we were unlukcy. The amount of games caught up with us. We had too many players carrying knocks and we were tired."
Epping went down again on Saturday, losing 1-0 to visitors White Notley after Scott Lodge scored in the 80th minute.
Whitbread said: "We created plenty of chances but we couldn't finish. Some players did perform the way we would have liked."
They entertain Mountnessing in their next game on Tuesday.
