ARTISTS will open their studios to the public in June.

Watercolourists, sculptors, woodturners and potters will demonstrate their techniques and answer questions, with vistors able to watch them work and buy some of the art.

Some studios, such as Meath Green Studio, a riverside converted stable in Horley, will have three artists in situ.

Artist Lance Penny will welcome people to his home in Reigate. A painter, sculptor and illustrator, he specialises in wildlife, landscapes and abstract expressionism.

Surrey Artists Open Studios will run from Saturday, June 2, to Thursday, June 17. Most studios will be open from noon to 6pm each day.

A brochure with listings and a map is available from libraries and help shops or by calling 01483 757258. Website www.surreyopenstudios.org.uk
