This is typical of everyone's attitude to the old people in our community. It is also irritating to be told access to more information can be found on the website. If you do not have a computer, go to your local library. I cannot afford a computer and going all the way into town to the library is also not an option for me.

More and more people, who are not computer literate, are being left out of things.

I have never heard of the older people's network. These good ideas are all very well but nothing ever changes, the excuse being lack of money. Everything comes down to money, including the problem of quality of life.

If you have a good income you do not have to worry about heating bills, NHS problems, transport or home carers.

We all say how wonderful HM the Queen is for her age. Of course she is, because she does not have the anxieties of other 80 year olds trying to make ends meet on a low income, with no family left to look after them. Depending on strangers is very tough and asking for help all the time is humiliating.

This government, for which I had such high hopes, seems to have billions of pounds for everything but a decent old age pension.

Politicians today, particularly those at the top, seem to forget why they were elected and what their job really is.

Worldwide problems obviously need a lot of time and work but not at the expense of the country's difficulties and the lives of ordinary people.
