Not only is one of Britain's best pound-for-pound boxers coming to town on Friday night but also the live Sky Sports cameras.

Dudley Concert Hall is all set to welcome Howard Eastman as he puts his Commonwealth Middleweight belt on the line against Denmark-based Kenyian Evans Ashira.

The fight is set to go out live at 10pm tomorrow evening (Friday) and give a national audience a taste of the amazing atmosphere the Concert Hall produces on big fight nights.

The appearance of 36-year-old Eastman in the town will prove interesting viewing for Dudley's very own up and coming middleweight Darren McDermott and his growing band of supporters.

The unbeaten Macca' has been making waves in the same weight division and it's known the 28-year-old has sights set on a shot at the British title in the near future.

The top evening of boxing is also set to give some of the Black Country's impressive young boxers a chance to show off their skills to a national audience.

On the bill will be Stourbridge's fast improving middleweight Sam Horton.

The unbeaten 21-year-old who recently switched trainer to team up with Errol Johnson will face Ben Hudson.

Brierley Hill's Martin Gordon, who has also moved across to Johnson's Wednesbury-based gym, will be hoping to get his professional career up and running.

The 24-year-old entered the professional ranks with an impressive amateur record but has yet to register a win in his opening three fights.

Sedgley-based promoter PJ Rowson, who played a major role in getting the event to the borough said: "It will be great for the town and the the borough to get some national sporting coverage.

"There will also be the chance for some of the Black Country's growing band of top young boxers to show off their talent."
