THERE is no reason why results can't go our way on Saturday and Worcester City end up in the Nationwide North play-offs.

Stranger things have happened and I said at the start of the campaign I felt it would go to our last game at Harrogate.

If we win, Hyde would have to beat Droylsden or Blyth would need to defeat Hinckley to keep us out. But we also need Farsley to lose to Redditch.

Farsley are in pole position and they have got to go for a win because they could miss out if Harrogate beat us.

There's a lot of pressure on those teams. Apart from Blyth, the others have been in contention all season but we haven't been for the last two or three months. We can go to Harrogate and play without the pressure.

I am sure the number of supporters planning to travel to Harrogate will have grown after last weekend's results.

Our qualification is not such a long-shot as it was.

I think City fans have appreciated the efforts of the players for the whole season.

Our form wasn't good at the start but I can't remember us ever being booed off. The crowd have got behind us and ultimately they have been rewarded.

Since Christmas we have had a brilliant unbeaten run at home and have had some great results against some big teams.

We have played entertaining, attacking football and scored plenty of goals and given plenty of entertainment.

I don't think the fans have been moaning about the excitement they have had in recent weeks.

The majority of the games have been really open and gone to the last minute.

We have been creating chance after chance and it's been pleasing on the eye.

Hopefully, going into the last game with a chance of making the play-offs, the fans have appreciated what the players have done and the players certainly appreciate the support of the fans.

When we get 800 at home, those are the die-hards who are going to be there week on week and it was nice to show our appreciation for their support after Saturday's win against Hucknall.

Other than David Johnson's chance, Hucknall didn't cause us a problem. We had chance after chance and their goalkeeper made save after save.

Following that match, Craig Wilding was named players' player of the year.

I think that's always the award the players look at with most fondness and it shows how well they think he's done.

Craig wasn't signed to get 20 goals a season for us, he was signed to compliment Mark Danks and Adam Webster but then they got injured.

For him to get 20 and play as many games as he has leading the line shows he's had a fantastic season.

Craig has been consistent, gives 100 per cent every game and I think he's improved as the season has gone on. I'm sure there's still a lot more to come from him.

He thoroughly enjoys playing at the club and that shows in his performances and it was a well deserved award.
