A fire ripped through a restaurant’s ventilation system and badly damaged the roof early this morning.
More than 20 firefighters took nearly two hours to bring the blaze at the restaurant in Court Parade, North Wembley, under control after it caught alight at just after 2.20am.
London Fire Brigade said the fire destroyed the air ducts of the building and caused “very severe damage” to the roof of the ground floor, as well as ruining a small part of the kitchen.
The cause of the fire, which caused no injuries, is under investigation.
