Schoolchildren tried their hand at writing comic strips as part of a programme to create a book and to get pupils to read more.
Children from Muswell Hill Primary School were joined by comic creators Gary Northfield and Alex Matthews, who ran workshops on Wednesday, February 12.
The school has collaborated with The Phoenix comic and invited children to submit their own comic strips, illustrated stories, jokes, pictures and puzzles as part of the school’s fourth Read-a-Fun programme.
The best entries will be printed in a comic book for the school and some in the pages of The Phoenix.
Winning submissions will also be displayed in the school.
