A judge today delivered his verdict on whether a CPO to move a company standing in the way of Spurs' new stadium was valid.
  • Family business Archway Sheet Metal Works challenged the compulsory purchase order approved by Local Government Secretary Eric Pickles in July last year..
  • In hearings on Tuesday and Wednesday, the High Court heard arguments from Archway, the Secretary of State, Tottenham Hotspur FC and Haringey Borough Council, which issued the order.
  • Judge Mr Justice Dove this morning ruled the CPO was valid, and blocked Archway Sheet Metal Works' right to appeal, saying it had "no reasonable prospect of success".
  • Tottenham Independent reporter John Toner reported live from the courtroom, while readers and Spurs fans had their say using the hashtag #SpursCPO.
