Children who plunged into the deep end have been awarded swimming medals.
Eight members of the Haringey Aquatics Club, based in Tottenham, were given medals for their ‘outstanding’ work during 2014.
Jake Austin and Sasha Shute were named the top senior boy and girl, while Drew Greenan-Kitchener was the most improved learner.
Gael Vazquez Tunez and Evie Wootten were given the title of most improved girl and boy.
Kelton Ryland won Allens of Kingsbury best training attendance and Laurie Taylor was given the Debi Hunt outstanding effort award.
And Sushila Ghose-Coveney was given the Ted and Doris Sayer Merit Cup.
The awards were handed out by head coach Paul Doyle.
He said: “The perseverance and determination of these swimmers is what makes my 38 years as a coach so rewarding.
“Thirty one club records and 88 personal best times were achieved at the 2015 county championships alone.
“Swimmers collected eight medals including two county crowns. As a result, HA swimmers remain in record-breaking form heading into the regional championships this May.”
