A headteacher has vowed to strive to create an “exceptional” school after a good rating in an inspection.
Holy Trinity School, in Somerset Road, Tottenham, was given education watchdog Ofsted's second highest rating in its latest report.
After its last inspection two years ago, the school was told it was satisfactory – but has since come on in “leaps and bounds”.
Headteacher Simon Knowles began working at the school two years ago, after it was awarded academy status.
He said: “We are delighted. We don’t just want to maintain our good status but we want to build on it too.
“We want a school that’s exceptional for children to learn and grow in and I’m confident that with the staff and leadership we’ve got now, we will be able to do that.
“We see this as a benchmark of the improvements we’ve made, and a launch pad for us to set our aspirations even higher.”
The report also highlighted the ‘outstanding’ leadership of the school’s teachers, who teach pupils aged three to 11.
It also commended the way early years pupils were given a “good start” to school life.
Mr Knowles added: “The school’s warmth is one of the reason children love coming here. We’ve also got some excellent teachers.
“We allow for a strong spiritual, moral and cultural development and the children have very strong, British values here.”
