Schoolchildren danced to the tune of history as they took part in morris dancing.

Pupils at Coldfall Primary in Coldfall Avenue, Muswell Hill picked up their sticks and took part in the traditional rhythmic dancing to mark the school's British History and Culture week.

The aim of the week was to incorporate what the coalition government outlined as the five core British values of equality, liberty, rule of law, democracy and tolerance, alongside the values of Coldfall School.

Assistant headteacher Tom Hassan said: “Staff and children across the school have enjoyed an off-timetable week which included a range of activities and trips including visits to sites such as Alexandra Palace, The London Eye, Hatfield House and the Maritime Museum.”
