Young swimmers were selected to help out at the British Swimming Championships.

Teenagers who are part of Haringey Aquatic served as medal bearers and kit carriers at the swimming competition last week.

The teen athletes provided poolside support to world record holder and 2016 Rio hopeful Adam Peaty, 2008 and 2012 Olympian Hannah Miley and 2014 Commonwealth gold medallist Jazz Carlin.

Jude Liddiard, 13, said: “This has to be one of the best weeks of my life. Being around these top athletes has really inspired me to train harder and up my racing game.”

Haringey Aquatic’s first ever national female swimmer, Sushila Ghose-Coveney, and current senior vice captain Nicola Lawrence, both served as medal bearers.

Jude Liddiard, Alife Lucas, Charlotte Ley, Megan Boardman, Sophie Kinlock and Ellie Crockford were selected as kit carriers.
