A pub saved by members of the community opens its doors today.
The Antwerp Arms in Church Road, Tottenham, was rescued from redevelopment by the Antwerp Arms Association, a group of people living in and around the Bruce Castle area who grouped together to ensure it remained a pub.
The group appealed for support from the community and Spurs fans, selling shares to pay to buy the site.
After holding volunteering days over the weekend and work to spruce up the much loved boozer it has now opened to the public again.
The group says the project is the first community-run pub in north London. It is working in partnership with Tottenham brewery Redemption, with two real ales from the brewery on sale.
Tonight there will be entertainment and nibbles to welcome people to their new-look local.
