Pupils triumphed in a cricket match at Lord’s.
A team from Alexandra Park School in Bidwell Gardens, Alexandra Park won gold in the Balfour Beatty Youth Games Inclusive Cricket at Lord’s Cricket Ground.
The team beat Waltham Forest’s Chingford Foundation by 17 runs to claim gold on Tuesday, in a match watched by England and Surrey cricketer Jonny Gale.
Haringey team manger Brendan Amooty said the team were "absolutely ecstatic".
He added: “Last year we got the silver medals and this year we’ve gone one better and the boys are over the moon.
“It’s been incredible, the inclusive nature of it. We’ve got boys representing the school for the first time ever this year and for their self-esteem, for their confidence, these competitions are essential.”
Mr Gale was on hand to present medals, sign autographs and providing cricketing tips.
The inclusive cricket competition aims to increase opportunities for youngsters with special educational needs and saw 14 teams from across the capital going for gold.
