A man has died after three cars collided at a junction this morning.
Police were called to the A406 North Circular Road, where Colney Hatch Lane meets the junction of Bounds Green Road, at around 10.40am on Wednesday, Febuary 3.
It is believed a car broke down on the road and a motorist from another car got out to help.
A third car then hit the two stationary vehicles.
One man, thought to be in his 70s, died at the scene and a woman was taken to a north London hospital but her condition is not yet known.
Wael Al-Qutub, 30, of Wood Green, saw the aftermath of the crash.
His friend, who was driving along Bounds Green Road, informed him that there was an air ambulance on the road.
He said: “I went along to see what was going on and it was shocking.
“One of the cars looked like it had been hit with a really big impact from the back.
“Although the ambulance had left by the time I got there, the police were still there and a crime scene tent had been put up.
“Three lanes have also been closed along the North Circular Road, so there will be a lot of congestion.”
No arrests have been made.
